Fall 2015 Ribbons Released—TSA officer Kathabela Wilson is currently mailing the latest issue of Ribbons. So members should begin to receive their copies soon. A message from David Rice, editor:

In addition to the regular features of Ribbons—Tanka Café, selected tanka and tanka sequences, the Poet and Tanka essay, tanka art, and book reviews—the Fall issue contains the judges’ comments for the 2015 Sanford Goldstein International Tanka Contest, essays about what makes a tanka a tanka, and a report of a tanka prose workshop. Here is the back-cover poem, by Jenny Ward Angyal:

I walk alone
by wind-rippled waters—
birdsong
draws the poison
from my veins
